(K²) - LIFE - SINGLE (2026)

ITA: LIFE è il primo singolo delle K². L’apertura del progetto è affidata a Why should I open my eyes?, un brano strumentale che accompagna l’ingresso nel mondo sonoro del singolo. Il titolo riprende una delle prime frasi pronunciate nella title track Life e anticipa una delle domande che attraversano l’intero progetto: perché aprire gli occhi e confrontarsi con la realtà quando tutto appare confuso o difficile da affrontare? Questo pezzo iniziale crea quindi lo spazio emotivo in cui si sviluppano i brani successivi. Il centro del disco è LIFE, la title track. Qui le K² tornano a muoversi in territori melodici che fanno già parte della loro identità artistica, ma lo fanno affrontando uno dei temi più universali e complessi: la percezione della vita come esperienza condivisa, ma allo stesso tempo profondamente diseguale. Il testo riflette sul senso di smarrimento, sulla difficoltà di trovare il proprio posto nel mondo e sulla consapevolezza che, pur essendo la “prima vita” per tutti, non tutti partono dalle stesse condizioni. Senza rivelare troppo, la canzone si muove tra introspezione e lucidità, lasciando emergere una riflessione quasi crudele ma estremamente umana sulla fragilità dell’esistenza. A chiudere il progetto arriva Blah (blah), la b-side del singolo. Dal punto di vista artistico rappresenta una nuova direzione sperimentale per le K², mentre sul piano tematico esplora una dimensione ancora più intima e inquieta. Il brano sembra raccontare la sensazione di vivere per inerzia, quando le azioni quotidiane perdono significato e il dialogo con il mondo diventa sempre più difficile. Le parole evocano un flusso di pensieri che oscilla tra frustrazione, stanchezza emotiva e il desiderio di essere finalmente ascoltati, mentre la ripetizione del “blah blah” diventa quasi il simbolo di una comunicazione che rischia di svuotarsi di senso.

ENG: LIFE is the first single by K². The project opens with Why should I open my eyes?, an instrumental track that accompanies the listener into the sonic world of the single. The title echoes one of the first lines spoken in the title track Life and anticipates one of the questions that runs through the entire project: why open your eyes and confront reality when everything seems confusing or difficult to face? This opening piece therefore creates the emotional space in which the following tracks unfold. At the center of the record is LIFE, the title track. Here K² return to melodic territories that are already part of their artistic identity, but they do so while addressing one of the most universal and complex themes: the perception of life as a shared experience that is, at the same time, deeply unequal. The lyrics reflect on feelings of disorientation, on the difficulty of finding one’s place in the world, and on the awareness that even though this is the “first life” for everyone, not everyone begins from the same conditions. Without revealing too much, the song moves between introspection and clarity, allowing a reflection to emerge that is almost cruel yet profoundly human about the fragility of existence. Closing the project is Blah (blah), the single’s b-side. From an artistic perspective it represents a new experimental direction for K², while thematically it explores an even more intimate and unsettling dimension. The track seems to portray the feeling of living by inertia, when everyday actions lose their meaning and the dialogue with the world becomes increasingly difficult. The lyrics evoke a stream of thoughts that moves between frustration, emotional exhaustion, and the desire to finally be heard, while the repetition of “blah blah” becomes almost a symbol of communication that risks emptying itself of meaning.
