Ultima Vox (2025)

 

ITA: Dopo un ulteriore anno di pausa dai brani strumentali, nel 2025 nasce Ultima Vox, il primo album in cui le versioni finali delle tracce sono state rielaborate e perfezionate con Suno. In quel momento ero convinta che sarebbe stato il mio ultimo lavoro interamente strumentale. Non a caso gli diedi un titolo in latino che richiama l’idea di un ultimo saluto. In realtà non è stato così. Tuttavia, l’intento di smettere di concentrarmi esclusivamente sugli album strumentali — che per anni erano stati l’unico modo per esprimermi — è rimasto coerente con la direzione che desideravo intraprendere. L’utilizzo di Suno nel processo di rifinitura ha reso il disco più levigato, più patinato. Forse proprio per questo, oggi, lo percepisco anche come uno dei lavori più distanti emotivamente. Una curiosità significativa riguarda la durata dei brani: quasi nessuno supera i 3 minuti. Non è una scelta casuale. Originariamente molte tracce duravano più quattro minuti, ma sono state volutamente accorciate e velocizzate. Volevo esprimere la rapidità con cui viviamo le nostre vite, la sensazione di non avere pause né respiri. L’assenza di spazio e di dilatazione musicale era il modo più efficace per rendere quell’urgenza. 

ENG: After another year-long pause from instrumental compositions, Ultima Vox was released in 2025, becoming the first album in which the final versions of the tracks were reworked and refined using Suno. At the time, I was convinced it would be my last fully instrumental project. It was no coincidence that I chose a Latin title evoking the idea of a final farewell. In reality, that was not the case. However, the intention to move away from focusing exclusively on instrumental albums — which for years had been my only way of expressing myself — remained consistent with the direction I wanted to pursue. Using Suno during the refinement process gave the record a more polished, more glossy finish. Perhaps for that very reason, today I also perceive it as one of my most emotionally distant works. A significant detail concerns the length of the tracks: almost none exceed 3 minutes. This was not accidental. Originally, many of them lasted four minutes, but they were deliberately shortened and sped up. I wanted to express the pace at which we live our lives — the feeling of having no pauses, no space to breathe. The absence of musical space and expansion was the most effective way to convey that urgency.
