AURORA - Oriental Express (2014)

 

ITA: ORIENTAL EXPRESS è un mini album composto da 8 tracce nato nel 2014. Nasce inizialmente come un gioco, ma si trasforma presto nel mio primo vero concept album. In quegli anni ero affascinata dai suoni orientali e dalle atmosfere arabeggianti. Quella che sembrava solo una curiosità sonora si è trasformata spontaneamente in un progetto tematico: ogni brano esplorava lo stesso immaginario attraverso suggestioni musicali e richiami stilistici coerenti. Oriental Express segna un passaggio importante nel mio percorso creativo. È il momento in cui inizio a lavorare per temi, scegliendo un universo da esplorare e sviluppandolo attraverso affinità sonore e, quando presenti, anche testuali. Da quel momento, il concept diventa il mio modus operandi: ogni mini album non è più solo una raccolta di brani, ma un territorio da attraversare.

ENG: ORIENTAL EXPRESS is an 8-track mini album released in 2014. It initially began as a playful experiment, but soon evolved into my first true concept album. At the time, I was fascinated by oriental sounds and arabesque-inspired atmospheres. What seemed like a simple sonic curiosity gradually and spontaneously developed into a thematic project: each track explored the same imaginative world through musical suggestions and cohesive stylistic references. Oriental Express marks an important turning point in my creative journey. It was the moment I began working through themes, choosing a universe to explore and developing it through sonic affinities and, when present, textual ones as well. From that point on, the concept became my modus operandi: each mini album was no longer just a collection of songs, but a territory to move through.
