RORUA: Dance (MINI ALBUM) - 2016

 

ITA: DANCE è il secondo mini album delle Rorua e rappresenta un passaggio fondamentale nella loro evoluzione artistica. Il titolo, che coincide con la title track, non è solo un invito al movimento, ma una vera e propria dichiarazione di libertà: ballare come atto di espressione, di resistenza e di autenticità. Il progetto è stato anticipato da due singoli di supporto, pensati per introdurre gradualmente le diverse anime del disco. Il primo singolo ha presentato Anymore insieme alla b-side Gone, accompagnate anche dalle rispettive Reimagined Rorua Version, riletture emotive e sonore che offrono una nuova prospettiva sui brani originali. Il secondo singolo, invece, ha mostrato il lato più energico e sicuro del gruppo con Cherry on top e la b-side In front of me, anch’esse affiancate dalle versioni Reimagined, che ne amplificano l’intensità e il messaggio. Nel complesso, escludendo le tracce già note come singoli, il mini album contiene 4 brani completamente nuovi e originali: Born to be Alone, Dance, In front of me, My Love. Oltre alla versione standard, DANCE è disponibile anche in una Fan-Club Edition, caratterizzata da una copertina alternativa e dall’aggiunta delle quattro Reimagined Rorua Version. 

DANCE attraversa emozioni diverse, ma coerenti, legate alla crescita personale, all’identità e al modo in cui ci si relaziona agli altri e a sé stessi.

• Anymore parla di una chiusura netta: la fine di un legame ambiguo, il recupero della propria dignità e la decisione di non farsi più definire da chi ha ferito.
• Born to be Alone riflette sulla solitudine, sul peso delle aspettative e sull’idea che l’amore non sia sempre una risposta obbligata o salvifica.
• Cherry on top è un inno all’autenticità e all’amor proprio, un brano che celebra l’individualità senza compromessi e la forza di essere sé stessi.
• Dance, title track del progetto, trasforma il ballo in metafora di libertà: lasciarsi andare, ignorare i giudizi e seguire il proprio ritmo.
• Gone affronta il ricordo di un amore passato con delicatezza e malinconia, accettando ciò che è stato senza rimanerne prigionieri.
• In front of me è una canzone sospesa tra curiosità e timore, che guarda al futuro come a qualcosa di ignoto ma possibile, da affrontare con coraggio. 
• My Love chiude il disco con una dimensione più intima e sognante, raccontando un amore ideale, ancora lontano, ma già profondamente sentito.

ENG: DANCE is the second mini album by Rorua and marks a crucial step in their artistic evolution. The title, which also serves as the album’s title track, is not merely an invitation to move, but a true declaration of freedom: dancing as an act of expression, resistance, and authenticity. The project was preceded by two supporting singles, designed to gradually introduce the different facets of the album. The first single featured Anymore alongside the b-side Gone, both also released in their respective Reimagined Rorua Versions—emotional and sonic reinterpretations that offer a new perspective on the original tracks. The second single, on the other hand, showcased the group’s more energetic and confident side with Cherry on top and the b-side In front of me, also accompanied by their Reimagined versions, which further amplify their intensity and message. Overall, excluding the tracks previously released as singles, the mini album contains four completely new and original songs: Born to be Alone, Dance, In front of me, and My Love. In addition to the standard edition, DANCE is also available in a Fan-Club Edition, featuring an alternative cover and the inclusion of the four Reimagined Rorua Versions.

DANCE moves through different yet coherent emotions, all connected to personal growth, identity, and the way one relates to others and to oneself.

• Anymore tells the story of a clean break: the end of an ambiguous relationship, the reclaiming of one’s dignity, and the choice not to be defined any longer by those who have caused pain.
• Born to be Alone reflects on solitude, the weight of expectations, and the idea that love is not always a necessary or saving answer.
• Cherry on top is an anthem of authenticity and self-love, a song that celebrates individuality without compromise and the strength of being oneself.
• Dance, the title track of the project, turns dancing into a metaphor for freedom: letting go, ignoring judgment, and following one’s own rhythm.
• Gone delicately and nostalgically addresses the memory of a past love, accepting what once was without remaining trapped in it.
• In front of me is a song suspended between curiosity and fear, looking toward the future as something unknown yet possible—something to be faced with courage.
• My Love closes the album on a more intimate and dreamlike note, portraying an ideal love that is still distant, yet already deeply felt.
