RORUA: SELF-MADE (MINI ALBUM) - 2019

ITA: Con SELF-MADE, le Rorua firmano il loro quinto mini album. Un progetto che parla di crescita, consapevolezza e rottura degli schemi, in cui ogni traccia diventa un frammento di un cammino costruito con le proprie mani. Il titolo dell’album non è casuale: SELF-MADE è una dichiarazione di intenti, un manifesto di autonomia emotiva e artistica, che attraversa tutto il disco come un filo rosso. La title track dell’album è “Shattered Bonds”, brano centrale del progetto, attorno al quale ruotano le tematiche principali del lavoro. Prima dell’uscita del mini album, SELF-MADE è stato anticipato da due singoli di supporto: PLAY Il primo singolo,  Al suo interno era presente anche la b-side “the best”. Entrambi i brani sono stati proposti anche in una versione alternativa: Play (Reimagined Rorua Version) e The best (Reimagined Rorua Version). SELF-MADE, Il secondo singolo,  oltre alla title track, includeva la b-side “Trust/Dust”, accompagnata anch’essa dalle loro versione re-immaginate: Self-made (Reimagined Rorua Version) e Trust/Dust (Reimagined Rorua Version). Nel complesso, eliminando le tracce già pubblicate, l’album contiene 3 brani completamente inediti e originali. Il disco è disponibile anche in una Fan-Club Edition, caratterizzata da una copertina alternativa e da 4 tracce aggiuntive.  

• PLAY - Racconta l’innamoramento come un gioco spontaneo, leggero e istintivo. È la sospensione del tempo, il momento in cui non esistono domani né paure, solo l’emozione pura del “qui e ora”.
• Shattered Bonds - Cuore emotivo del disco. Affronta il peso della colpa, del rimorso e delle relazioni spezzate, osservando le conseguenze delle proprie scelte senza cercare scorciatoie.
• The best - Un inno alla presenza silenziosa ma fondamentale di chi resta. È una celebrazione della fiducia, della protezione reciproca e dei legami che diventano rifugio.
• SELF-MADE - Un’affermazione potente di identità e indipendenza. Il brano parla di riscatto personale, di libertà conquistata e di una voce che non chiede più il permesso di esistere.
• Tears of light - Una riflessione intima sulla fragilità, sul sentirsi bloccati e sul riconoscere, anche nel dolore, una luce che chiede di emergere.
• Toxic love - Il racconto di una relazione distruttiva vista con lucidità. È il momento della presa di coscienza e della scelta di spezzare la catena.
• Trust/Dust - Chiude il cerchio del disco esplorando il confine sottile tra fiducia e perdita, mostrando come ciò che era solido possa trasformarsi in polvere.

ENG: With SELF-MADE, Rorua release their fifth mini album. A project that speaks of growth, self-awareness, and breaking free from imposed limits, where each track becomes a fragment of a journey built with one’s own hands. The album title is no coincidence: SELF-MADE is a statement of intent, a manifesto of emotional and artistic independence that runs through the entire record like a guiding thread. The album’s title track, “Shattered Bonds”, stands at the core of the project, around which its main themes revolve. Ahead of the mini album’s release, SELF-MADE was preceded by two supporting singles. PLAY, the first single, introduced the project with a bright and instinctive energy. It also included the b-side “the best”. Both tracks were later released in alternative versions: Play (Reimagined Rorua Version) and The best (Reimagined Rorua Version). SELF-MADE, the second single, further expanded the album’s narrative. In addition to the title track, it featured the b-side “Trust/Dust”, accompanied by their reimagined versions: Self-made (Reimagined Rorua Version) and Trust/Dust (Reimagined Rorua Version). Overall, excluding previously released tracks, the album contains three completely new and original songs. The record is also available in a Fan-Club Edition, featuring an alternative cover and four additional tracks.

• Tears of light - An intimate reflection on fragility, feeling stuck, and recognizing— even through pain — a light that longs to emerge.
• Toxic love - The story of a destructive relationship told with clarity. A moment of awakening and the choice to break free.
• Trust/Dust - Closes the album by exploring the fragile line between trust and loss, showing how what once felt solid can slowly turn to dust.
