ITA: This Is: That’s How It Works for Me è il terzo mini album di AURA e segna un momento di definizione ancora più netta della sua identità artistica. Già dal titolo si percepisce una doppia dichiarazione: “This Is” come affermazione di esistenza, e “That’s How It Works for Me” come presa di posizione personale. Non è un disco che chiede di essere capito da tutti, ma uno che rivendica il diritto di funzionare secondo le proprie regole. La title track, That’s How It Works for Me, è il cuore manifesto del progetto. Parla di relazioni vissute senza compromessi, della scelta di non accettare legami superficiali o giochi emotivi. Non c’è spazio per mezze misure o per amori senza profondità: se manca qualcosa di autentico, AURA sceglie sé stessa. È una dichiarazione di autonomia affettiva, quasi una linea tracciata a terra: puoi restare, ma solo se è reale. L’album era stato anticipato da due singoli, This Is My Life e This Is Not a Movie, che già delineavano le due anime principali del progetto. This Is My Life è un’affermazione di indipendenza, un rifiuto del giudizio esterno e delle etichette. È il diritto di vivere, sbagliare, cadere e rialzarsi senza chiedere il permesso. This Is Not a Movie, invece, entra in un territorio più intimo e delicato: parla della salute mentale senza romanticizzarla, rifiuta la narrazione cinematografica del dolore e rivendica la complessità di una vita reale, dove restare in piedi è già un atto di forza. Accanto a questi brani già conosciuti, il mini album introduce quattro nuovi brani originali inediti che ampliano la visione del progetto. Night Is Mine racconta un incontro avvolto nell’oscurità, un gioco di attrazione e mistero in cui la notte diventa spazio di scoperta e tensione emotiva. Non è solo seduzione, ma esplorazione di ciò che fa paura e allo stesso tempo affascina. Here, fear is unmasked as the root of hate, as the force that pushes people to build walls in order to feel stronger. It’s an invitation to recognize the fragility hidden behind aggression, to understand that hate is often nothing more than fear in a different tone.
